So it's back to shopping for us and the good news is that the high Street is brimming with some really 'Chic' buys and the best thing about the high street these days is that you don't have to be on the High street to shop the High street, fashion is just a click (or 2 away) with fabulous websites that have made shopping as easy as WWW dot! Lately, I have been feeling like a quintessential lady and when I browsed the Dorothy Perkins website, I couldn't help myself from falling in love with these must-have hot fashion picks from our High street sweetheart, Dorothy Perkins....but the best part? The very pocket friendly prices...Ohhh la la!
So here's a little game, guess the price and if the actual price is lower, you must, must buy the garment...!!! Common now it's time to shop like a Pro....
OMY! Who dared to touch the Olympic Torch with chipped nail polish???...That's a beauty sin!!! Hee!hee! I just couldn't help myself from getting into all the Olympics euphoria yesterday with the torch passing through my neighbourhood. Even better, we had great weather and almost a little bit too much of the sun. So I grabbed my vintage pair of Levi's shorts, a simple shirt from gap and my fabulous Gucci trainers and headed to Alexandra Palace Park, were all the fun was planned.Armed with my camera I captured some really fabulous moments that made me forget about high street shopping (well just for a few hours..LOL!) Enjoy my Olympics rally photos after the break...
I popped into House of Fraser (Oxford Street) shoe lounge today, I hadn't been in there in years and years but wow, I loved it in there, it was like being in shoe heaven (only without the designer labels..wink!) but great high street brands like Kurt Geiger, Cavela, Bertie, Nine West etc ...I saw so many fabulous shoes, blings, slings and super-chic... I need to go back for a shoe-fix...Love! love! love!
Walking past a shut down Clinton's store on the my local high street; Southgate, North London, (Yes, I'm always out on the high street...hee!hee!) I just couldn't help but go "Awwwww" :(
It's so sad when businesses especially long standing ones go bust!
Goodbye Clinton Cards!!! So sad to see you go :(
After days of gloomy weather, the sun is finally out..Yaay! It's a hot day today in London..Ohh Yes! it's a perfect day to shop whilst looking uber fabulous. Celebrating British Builders...complete with builder's bum..LOL!
I have always been fascinated by shop window displays; the creative thinking, the planning, the art direction, the delivery and how it makes me walk through the doors into the store..You'll probably catch me staring in awe before gorgeous displays but more often than anywhere else you'll probably catch me at one of the windows at Selfridges Oxford Circus...when it comes to creative displays Selfridges have it nailed...In line with the Diamond Jubilee and Olympics celebrations, Selfridges display windows celebrate all things we love about being fashionably british...
Selfridges, Oxford Circus, London
Britain By The Sea...
The Great British Picnic with Granny Cakes...
Love this...LOL!
The Great British Weather...
High Streets of Great Britain
You've gotta love the detail .....

Selfridges is certainly our window display winner...
Love! love ! love! You must go see the display if you're in town.... What is Hot in Fashion? The Selfridges merchandising team baby!!!!
Hundreds of shoppers enjoying a day out today on Oxford Street
It's exactly 7 days to the Olympics and London is ready for the games and so is the High Street as retail stores go gaga over the games. From gymnastics to union jack themed displays, London's famous Oxford street shop windows are 'olympic-ally' dressed to impress....
HM's Gymnastics themed window
Debenhams Javelin window theme
Forever 21 also goes gymnastics
Topshop's Union Jack Tribute Window
Forever 21 also had revolving Olympics ring window we liked...
John Lewis goes Red Hot...
Monsoon was 'errrm not really bothered about the Olympics...( or maybe dressed for the Olympics after-party.hee hee!.)
Zara seems well over the Olympics euphoria even before it kicks off ..but we love the gorgeous window pieces...
GAP laps up the frenzy going completely union jack crazy...
I must admit that while retail stores have managed to get into the games spirit, fashion seems to have taken on a more demure look, it's more serious looking with formal pieces, subtle colours and sadly less fun..I can't help but wish for fun fashion without the forced sports influence again...Bring on the colours high street!!!!
Anyone else thinks the high street is boring right now???
